Hoje rolou a 3ª etapa do Cape Epic, sem a lama que assolou a etapa de ontem, mas com ume belíssima disputa entre as equipes Meerendal Songo Specialized e Centurion-Vaude.

Essa foi a etapa mais longa dessa edição da prova e acabou sendo definida na chegada. Christoph Sauser e Frantisek Rabon (Meerendal Songo Specialized) superaram Markus Kaufmann e Jochen Kaess por poucos metros após 4h53m de prova.
A equipe da Specialized não vinha tendo um bom desempenho até então, mas com essa vitória ela está agora na 3ª colocação geral, 9 minutos atrás dos líderes Robert Mennen e Kristian Hynek (Topeak-Ergon Racing).

Na categoria master mais uma vez o brasileiro Abraão Azevedo junto com seu parceiro Bart Brentjens (Betch.nl Superior Meerendal) venceram com a vantagem de 1m24s a dupla Shan Wilson e Adrian Enthoven (Definitive Bikes).
Na classificação geral eles estão em segundo lugar, 3m59 segundos atrás dos líderes que foram os que eles ganharam hoje.
